Mission Hills, San Diego

East of the 5 and south of the 8 lies Mission Hills, overlooking Old Town San Diego and Mission Bay. This beautiful neighborhood has two historic districts and is home to some of the city’s best residential architecture by notable designers such as William Hebbard and John Lloyd Wright.

Mission Hills has cross streets named after birds and are in alphabetical order, and San Diego’s oldest garden center, Mission Hills Nursery, founded by Kate Sessions, the “mother of Balboa Park.”
