Point Loma, San Diego

West of Old Town and Mission Hills is a peninsula on which is located Point Loma, encompassing the neighborhoods of Loma Portal, The Wooded Area, Roseville, Fleetridge, and La Playa. With almost 50,000 people, Point Loma is also home to two military bases, a beautiful lighthouse, and Point Loma Nazarene University.

The old Navy Training Center has become Liberty Station, with great restaurants and shops, as well as an arts district and extensive parks. Plus, be sure to catch the Festa do Espirito Santo, and during the holiday season Garrison Street has some particularly impressive light displays.
