Del Cerro, San Diego

Spanish for “Of The Hill,” Del Cerro is one of San Diego’s hidden gems. Located north of College, south of San Carlos, and just east of Allied Gardens, this charming, centrally located community was developed in the late 1950’s by Jackson Scott. Del Cerro holds an annual community Block Party, and Del Cerro Park and Pool hosts a yearly 4th of July Party for members.

This family friendly neighborhood is near Admiral Baker and Mission Trails golf courses, with Cowles Mountain, Mission Trails Park and Lake Murray close by for hiking and walking.

Centrally located, Allied Gardens is close to San Diego State University and Grossmont College, and just 20 minutes away from the beach, the airport, and Downtown San Diego. And there’s lots to do in adjacent Mission Valley, with convenient shopping, restaurants, and movie theaters.
